Taiwan's medical hardware expertise meets Japan's software innovation in a new IP partnership.
Wellgen Medical is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking cross-border collaboration between Taiwan's medical hardware expertise and Japan's software innovation. Wellgen Medical has officially partnered with Tokyo-based ModAstera Inc. to redefine the speed and precision of clinical diagnostics for metastatic cancers.
Through this joint intellectual property agreement, Wellgen is combining its advanced AI-assisted 3D tomographic microscopy and clinical image datasets with ModAstera's MAEA (Medical AI Engineering Agent), an end-to-end medical AI development platform that compresses model development timelines from months to days.
This synergy is driving the future of EdgeAI directly at the point of care, ensuring ultra-low latency and data privacy. By leveraging ModAstera's MAEA platform to automate AI model development, Wellgen is bridging the gap between clinical domain expertise and advanced machine learning, making next-generation medical diagnostic tools smarter, more accurate, and more accessible for healthcare systems worldwide.
Wellgen Medical Founder Dr. Eason Lin visited Joshua Owoyemi at his startup ModAstera in Shibuya, Tokyo, to discuss AI machine learning results on the most recent datasets. The two also explored potential journal publication, business model expansion, and the infrastructure design of digital cytology for telemedicine—laying the groundwork for continued collaboration as both companies advance their shared mission of "AI-Assisted Diagnosis" across borders.
